Most of them are in Bahasa !!!

Assalamualaikum and great life awesome peeps,

Life check, UKM stands for Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (National University Malaysia), BUT, never in my life had this idea that lectures here are taught in Bahasa. BAHASA !!

I directly confessed that I'm a Diploma graduate, and I'd been using English for more than 3 years for my studies. Now, I have to revert all my knowledge gained previously in Diploma into Bahasa. Trust me, it's confusing.

All the terms used in both languages are different. I'm not saying that I'm a 'mat salleh celup' or anything, it's just, terms and descriptions are better in English. It is because (from my view), we can describe things easy and shorter in English compared to Bahasa. If I have to give you an illustration as example, the word 'management'. Do you know what management known as in Bahasa? It is 'pengantara pengurusan'. I feel bad that I need to Google "pengantara pengurusan in English" when I first heard of it, but yeah, that is my 'Slap Check' to life that I'm still far from being a pro in Bahasa even tho it is my mother tongue.

It is a relief that some classes/subjects are taught and can be answered (during test) in English. However, for the rest of other subjects taught in Bahasa, I definitely need to work in double to not having a culture shock in class.

My advice to those planning to enter UKM in the future, please, please and please learn in dual languages for your subjects. Don't have the same struggle like me.

That's all for today, toodles awesome peeps.
