Winter Solstice and Mandarin Club Dinner 2018

Assalamualaikum and good day peeps!

Last night my friends and I attended Winter Solstice and Dinner that was conducted by KUO's Mandarin Club. There we learn how to make the Solstice Ball that was made by glutinous rice flour, I think the Chinese call it Tang Yuan (if I'm not mistaken). The rice ball occasionally pink, green or white in color. They are cooked in a savory broth. As I watched them cook it last night, the broth is made out from water, ginger, pandan leaf and sugar. I forgotten to ask them specifically what's in there. LOL

My friends and I were having fun making those Tang Yuan balls in Bilik Masakan KUO, we also made all sorts of others shapes like snowman, boxes, rabbits, candies and Yin Yang balls. We keep the sizes small so the balls would cook thoroughly.

When the desserts are done, we head on for our dinner. The dinner was held at Bilik Seminar. The menu for the dinner is Ayam masak sambal, rice, fried mixed vegetables and watermelon. It was delicious and I was starving last night, thus, I enjoyed it a lot.

With that, it is the end of the Mandarin class that I've joined this semester. It's a wrap guuys!
